Health experts also say that sunflower or extra virgin olive oil are better than vegetable oil for high temperature cooking.

For strict dieters, salmon and other fish are best when seasoned with garlic powder, sea salt, and pepper. Herbs like dill or rosemary can raise the flavor profile without guilt. Fish that has a strong flavor, a marinade like teriyaki or Italian herb, can enhance the taste. If the texture is even slightly dense, it will be filling but may need more time to marinate in a seasoning or rub.

When buying online, the packaging may allow for freezing pieces that can be cooked at a future date. There are some exceptions like certain types of shellfish and unusual breeds. The best way to find out is asking someone who knows the best way to prepare fish when buying from outside sources. Surprisingly, some types that are advertised as being fresh actually spent time in the freezer after leaving the water.

Overall, eating more fish is beneficial to health and development. There are many different types to try and the recipes range from simple to detailed but worth the effort in the kitchen. Any time a person can get a price break on their favorite kind of fish, it is wise to take advantage of the prospect.
