Next is cart which is similar to most typical that are being utilized. This can either be a kettle design or rectangular in form. It consists of charcoal and cooking grids and a hinged lid that is placed in the cart that has wheels.

Eighth is barrel and is the most ancient form. It is made of steel barrel that is half length wise. Next is the ceramic cooker design. It is more flexible than the kettle since the ceramic chambers retain moisture and heat more efficiently. This type can be better used for grilling, smoking, and barbecuing foods.

Like ceramic cookers, tandoor ovens can also be utilized in oven cooking and grilling. The food is placed on top of long skewers and is cooked by wood fire from the bottom of oven. The last one is portable type. These falls into either kettle or brazier category.

The hybrid type is commonly used for cooking outdoors. The fuels that can be used are either natural gas, charcoal, or propane. It is a combination of wood grill and charcoal techniques.
