Can A Poached Egg Be Made With Tuscan Olive Oil?

By Katie Arden

It's tough for me to become fully invested in stories that are related to cooking. While these stories are very much helpful, I am the kind of person who is not the savviest in the kitchen. However, I do understand the benefits associated with Tuscan olive oil and there are many to consider. With that said, though, a recent story came to my attention and I believe that those who are very much into cooking might benefit from a unique approach to cooking poached eggs.

Amongst the most common substances to consider in terms of poached eggs, water has to be one of the most important. Tuscan olive oil, however, can also be put to use and I have to believe that its many healthful benefits will be able to shine. There are many different qualities to consider with this oil, antioxidants included, which is a point that is supported by authorities like Bellucci Premium. Before you know it, you will start to see how much better your poached eggs will become.

If you are curious as to how this can be done, it seems as though the process itself is actually quite simple. Lifehacker published an article on the matter, which detailed the first step of simply cracking an egg into a pan. Afterwards, a quarter cup of olive oil will be needed and then placed into the pan itself. The cook would also have to take it upon him or herself to baste the egg white with the oil in question. Once the egg is cooked to order, it can be enjoyed.

This article is especially useful because, in my eyes, more people want to focus on the idea of health as opposed to taste. They understand that the former idea is more important in the long run, so they understand that there is a need for creating healthier meals in the long run. Tuscan olive oil is easily one of the more beneficial types of oil, which speaks volumes when considering that there are many oils for culinary purposes. Even though fat is included in all oils, it's a matter of choosing the right fat content.

As you can imagine, monounsaturated fat is more than useful in order to maintain good health, provided said fat is taken in careful amounts. However, with this method of cooking poached eggs, I am sure that health itself will not be much of an issue, if at all. To me, it's simply a matter of choosing a different type of oil and it's hard to deny the impact of this type. Before a cook can realize it, he or she will start to see the many other benefits associated with the product.
