Some are eating ones marked kosher, and others have halal meals ready to eat given to them. This is making you wonder if they are better than your ordinary MRE. Only in Jewish products can alcohol be permitted and it will still be considered acceptable or kosher. However, alcohol will always be consider haram for the Muslims. It is quite possible to find a fruitcake therefore to be kosher but it will never be acceptable to the Muslims. Fruits and vegetables are always acceptable under Muslim tenets, but this is only considered as acceptable by Jews as long as they have not come into contact with insects and bugs. Also, any fruit product can only be considered as acceptable by Jews if it was made by Jews themselves.
