History Of Brewing And Beer Making Supplies And How It Is Processed

By Debra Murray

Beer has always been known to be the oldest drinks men have began to consume since their inception. Humans has began to make the drink since 3000 B. C. It is loved by hardworking men and women and is chosen as a preferred drink for not only casual occasions such as just being inside the home but also for going out to a bar if drinking hard liquor is not preferred as the drink of choice for most.

For a long time, men have tried various different ways to create a drink that would cater to their taste or the taste of masses. Beer making supplies have been around since a time forgotten. It is a occupation and more so a hobby for gentlemen and women of modern world as the prospect of making your own alcoholic beverage is very inciting prospect for most.

Beer has been around Europe when it was introduced by invading Germanic and Celtics tribes during the dark ages of history. These drinks that they made during that time was mostly done within a domestic setting. A thing to take note of though is the early from of beer is far different from what we have today and the taste is different as different ingredients and methods are used.

The items that were produced way before the industrial revolution was still on domestic aspect. Though during the 7th century did see monasteries produce and sell their own barely and ale. At the coming of the industrial revolution, the production moved from domestic areas to industrial manufactures, thus being made in factories, and this in turn ceased domestic products to lessen til the end of the 19th century.

Brewing is what making beer is called. This sort of process has lasted for centuries because of how effective and innovated it is. The building that are called breweries is the place where brewing happens, that started in homes until it has moved to factories for further research and faster production for these products.

There is only one reason to brew and that it is so that starch could be converted into a substance called wort. With it being the testbed of creating beer, various different methods exist for this purpose. The process would usually take months before it is finished due to how long things would ferment in fermentation machines.

In its first step, wort is in preparatory stages by mixing starch, known as malted Ale, with hot water. This method is called mashing within the industry. The hot water, known as liquor in brewing, is placed with malt that is crushed grist into a device known as a mash tun. The process of mashing would take an hour or two, in which starch is converted to sugar. After that sweetened wort is now filtered and separated.

After that is over and the starch has been collected, it is time to proceed. The sweet wort shall be placed in a kettle or copper as it is known and boiled soon after. This would take about an hour of boiling and after it is done, the water should evaporate. Once done, sugars and others should still be inside the kettle. The process would also get rid of any harmful enzymes remaining.

Fermenting is comes last. The taken wort is placed along with yeast so that it will ferment inside the fermenter. In a span of weeks or maybe even months, beer is created after everything is clear.
