3 Dishes Which Go With Italian Olive Oil

By Katie Onson

Italian olive oil is a culinary product with various uses to consider. Some of these may be easy enough to recognize, though it's easy to see that others may take a bit of learning to uncover. Whatever the case may be, some foods are better than others, which is where I feel like a tremendous discussion can be carried out. If you want to talk about the best foods - and there is plenty to go over - here are 3 of the strongest talking points to consider.

Italian olive oil, to start off, can be something of an effective salad dressing. The reason I say this is because it seems like many people use this as an alternative to standard dressing. Not only does the oil's natural taste stand out, but it's easy to see that it can result in fewer calories brought into the body, especially when compared to more conventional dressing. Authorities such as Unaprol will tell you that this is one possibility not to be overlooked.

If you want something a bit more comprehensive, a vegetable medley can prove to especially strong alongside Italian olive oil. When you have different veggies to account for - carrots and broccoli being some of the favorites - you want to bring out their tastes a bit more. After you grill these, which I would recommend, cover them with a bit of oil. You do not need too much of this product, since just a little bit will be able to create an effective appetizer of sorts.

You may also want to serve Italian olive oil with spaghetti and a bit of basil. Some of the most common additions to pasta include marinara and vodka sauce, both of which have their benefits. However, those who are looking to reduce calories should know that said oil can be implemented just as easily. It has its healthy benefits, as referenced earlier, but you want to make sure that usage is moderated. Too much can take away from the pasta's natural taste.

Italian olive oil is, without question, one of the better ingredients that can be added to a number of dishes. As you can clearly probably imagine, many of these dishes aren't even rooted in Italian cuisine, which speaks greater volumes about the versatility that this product has. Everything from hot dishes to cooler ones can be made, which goes without saying. This will also ensure that you do not run out of recipes to put together in the future.
